YEARS OF SERVICE
At March 16, 2010's general meeting KL Gord presented Lion Gus with a 50 Years of Service pin, and Lion Leo with a 25 Years of Service pin. Congratulations to our Life Members!

DISTRICT GOVERNOR MARCEL'S VISITATION, JANUARY 5, 2010
IPP John Hills received a Lions President Excellence Award from DG Marcel. President Allan, Royal Canadian Legion, received a donation from KL Gord.



2009 CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST AT ALEXANDER ELEMENTARY
Principal Brenda said to Lion Jim, "Thank you again for your generous donation. We were able to
provide a wonderful breakfast to our students and families. The event was well
attended, and appreciated by all."

LIONS AT WORK - COWICHAN CAPITOL'S HOCKEY GAME
On Saturday, November 14, 2009, our "Caps" won game! Six Duncan Lions stamped hands upstairs at lounge entrance, and arena area downstairs, to provide gate security. Another way to raise funds for charitable efforts in community, and worldwide.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR STEVE SOMERSET
DG Steve visited the Club on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at the Royal Canadian Legion. See his biography on District 19-I's website. He gave an inspired overview of the District's membership growth, and inducted our newest member Kathleen. Treasurer Will placed a Lions pin on her left lapel which she will wear proudly as she grows in Lionism. DG Steve's Partner in Service C/S Dori suggested Kathleen's orientation be held in an informal environment.

SAFEWAY BBQ FOR EASTER SEALS FUNDRAISER
Duncan Lions (Sylvia & Doug) cook off at Safeway's campaign to raise funds on Saturday, April 4, for Easter Seals.

CRIB TOURNAMENT
A crib tournament for the Club is on Saturday, March 21, 7pm at Knights of Columbus Hall. A meal will be provided. Club members are encouraged to attend.

SUNRIDGE PLACE
A TV was donated to Elderberry House at Sunridge Place, and Lion Don Cole delivered it to the assisted living complex.

DUNCAN MANOR
March 3, 2009:
The club donated new tables and chairs to Duncan Manor, an independent supportive living environment. The furniture was ordered, and will be installed within 30 days.
